PASMA Mobile Access Towers
1 Day ?150 Per Delegate

Delegates will gain an understanding of current relevant legislation and be able to dismantle, erect and inspect a tower safely, as per the manufacturer?s instructions. As an accredited member of PASMA, HSS Training offers a wide range of courses relating to mobile access equipment. These short programmes include classroom tuition, practical sessions and assessment on the safe erection, dismantling and use of mobile alloy and fibreglass access towers, which are approved to BS EN 1004 : 2004 and which carry a current British Standard or other equivalent mark of approval.



PASMA Supervisors Inspection
1 Day ?150 Per Person

Delegates will gain an understanding of current relevant legislation and be able to dismantle, erect and inspect a tower safely, as per the manufacturer?s instructions. This course is designed to enable delegates to understand current safety legislation, inspect erected towers for faults, accurately check components against the manufacturer's instruction manual and, generally, to be more aware of the potential risks and hazards.

Scaffold & Low Level Access Awareness Inspection1 Day ?170 Per Person

HSS Training now provides new scaffolding courses to understand the principles of tube and fitting scaffolding structure and their components to aid site inspections and the identification of faults and hazards.

Training can be organised on site, at customers' premises ? subject to suitability, or at one of our training centres. This course will assist delegates in understanding the principles of tube and fitting scaffolding structure and their components to aid site inspections and the identification of faults and hazards.





Low Level CUPLOK? Scaffold System

This course is suitable for contractors seeking alternatives to trestle applications. It involves the safe assembly and dismantling of two lift CUPLOK? scaffolds (3-4m high) for low level brickwork and housing type applications.
Who will benefit
All those involved in the installation of scaffolding work platforms up to 4m high: small building contractors, bricklayers, shopfitters and decorators.

IPAF - Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWP)

On completion of the course, delegates will be able to drive mobile elevated work platforms safely and manoeuvre them as required. They will be able to carry out operations in a correct and appropriate manner inside or outside a building.Training in the use of work equipment is required by Health & Safety legislation and Work at Height regulations. Employers are obliged to provide this training for employees. HSS Training is an accredited member of the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF), recognised worldwide as the organising body for the access industry. We offer a comprehensive range of MEWP courses specifically designed by IPAF for the industry.

Courses can be undertaken at a customer?s own premises or at one of our dedicated training centres across the country.The MEWP Operator "Type Specific" course provides instruction on the preparation and safe operation of specific models of mobile elevated work platforms.

Ladder Association - Ladder Access Safety
1 Day ?150 Per Person

Delegates will learn to select appropriate work at height equipment for a task, correctly locate and safely use ladders and steps as well as inspecting ladders and steps for damage. HSS Training in conjunction with the Ladder Association (LA) is pleased to present this steps and ladders course. The LA offers a nationally recognised training scheme for users, supervisors and managers wanting to equip themselves with the knowledge, skills and confidence necessary to use ladders and steps legally and safely. Drawing on guidance from the UK?s leading experts on ladder manufacture, maintenance and safety, the LA scheme addresses all the issues raised by the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and, more recently, the Work and Height Regulations 2005.Demonstration of competence is a key requirement of the new regulations and successful completion of the Ladder Association training course provides proof of such competence.



OAA Passport Scheme
1 Day ?115 Per Person

HSS Training Solutions have worked closely with the OAA and its members to bring you the OAA Passport Scheme, a one day Health Safety course designed specifically for the out door advertising industry. This course is designed for persons who are required to work safely and effectively in compliance with their organisations policy statements, current legislation and accepted best practice in health and safety.

OAA Passport Refresher
1/2 Day ?80 Per Person

This half day course has been developed in conjunction with the Health & Safety Executive and the Outdoor Advertising Association and its members to enhance the one day Passport Scheme and to maintain and improve the overall standard of health & safety within the industry. This course is aimed at persons who have held an OAA Passport Scheme card for two years since the date of issue.
